I always considered myself an old soul. I’ve decided my soul caught up with me at around 40 years old. Oddly enough that’s almost where my story begins.

I’m a native Texan. Yes, I say “Ya’ll” and believe it to be a conjunction of you all and very proper English! We drink sweet tea, but wine is preferable. And Ya’ll, in my 40 years, I’ve never seen tumbleweed. I have seen cattle on Interstate 45 North. I hope that doesn’t dispel our Texas myth.

I spent the better part of 15 years in a professional industry and carrying management titles. Lots of travel, lots of people, little time for me. It wasn’t until my late 30’s I met the love of my life. I was given the opportunity to help with raising children, moved from a downtown area to the suburbs, discovered the Pioneer Woman and her glory and gospel and got the opportunity to pick my new career. You guessed it…..I work part time at a quilt shop. I went from single with a cat to insta-family and meal planning and prep. And, well….Ya’ll, SewFarSewGood.
